    prisoner transporation

Prisoner transportation vehicles demand high security.

The advanced features of the Vision Systems Technology video recorders can offer an effective response:

    • Multi camera recording
Vehicle interiors require cameras in each cell as well as covering each member of staff. The exterior cameras must cover all possible hiding places eg the dead spot immediately in front of the vehicle.
The VVR1216 records up to 16 cameras, all at full frame and high resolution.
    • High Quality evidence
In the event of an attack, masked and hooded raiders present a considerable evidential challenge.  The VVR1200 series records in real time at DVD-quality.  This provides the best possible chance to capture that split second opportunity to identify hair colour, a tattoo or a brand of shoes.
    • Audio synchronisation
Criminals may disguise their faces but they struggle to disguise their voices.  Each video channel has a parallel audio recording channel to provide additional evidence.
    • Live image transmission – NOW AFFORDABLE
Real time operational response is critical to managing a live incident.  High Security users frequently opt for 24/7 real time contact using a 3G / GPRS router.  Vision Systems Technology’s highly efficient video compression means highly useable images can be streamed live to support operational decision making, whilst full evidential quality recordings are retained on the DVR.

NEW – Vision Systems Technology partnership with mobile telecoms providers in the UK now mean Vision Systems Technology can offer live transmission services from as little as £12 per month, using routers starting at £150 each.
    • Live images to mobile phones
Major incident management may require urgent sharing of information with senior management and security services.  The VVR1200 can support this by enabling the transmission of live images to mobile phones.
    • Live audio transmission
Live images can also be supplemented with live audio streaming to provide an additional insight into what is happening.
    • NEW Encrypted recording
For users with highly sensitive video images, Vision Systems Technology now offers the option of encryption of all video.  This means that the recordings will only play on replay PCs where the Vision Systems Technology replay software is installed, and where there is a valid encryption key.

Vision Systems Technology encryption is to 256bit standards – until recently the standard used by national security agencies.
    • Secure Recording
The VVR1200 has an image storage unit separate from the actual recorder.  This enables the technology and the evidence to each be secured in the best possible location in the vehicle.
    • Backup Recording
The VVR1200 can record in parallel onto a separate drive.  This provides a secondary sources of backup evidence in the event that the primary recording is stolen or damaged.

This backup drive could be on a small solid state drive and hidden from all day to day users.
    • Alarm triggers
The VVR1000 is a highly advanced PC capable of integration with almost any soft or hard inputs.   Commonly used triggers include panic button, doors opening and excess braking.
    • Raising automatic alarms
When an incident is detected, the VVR1200 can be programmed to transmit alarms in a variety of formats including:
      • SMS to predefined numbers
      • Emails
      • Start transmitting live images from cameras predefined according to alarm type
      • Prepare for transmission a pre-event recording clip (eg 30 secs prior to event)

    Optional Extras

    • GPS Satellite location tracking
Accurate vehicle tracking is a significant management tool.  VVR1200 has integrated GPS tracking functionality.  Alternatively it can be integrated with most standalone satellite systems.
    • GSM location tracking
GSM triangulation technology delivers sub 100m accuracy and is a cost effective alternative to GPS satellite systems.  GSM signals are better than GPS at working in buildings, under bridges etc.  For particularly demanding tasks the VVR1000’s GSM is used in addition to GPS tracking.

Armoured Cars and High Value Goods

Armoured cars have always been a target for criminals. Today however the threat of robbery and hijacking extends to any commercial vehicle transporting high value goods.

The advanced features of the Vision Systems Technology video recorders can offer an effective response:

    • Multi camera recording
Comprehensive surveillance of vehicle interiors and exteriors, including any trailers, may require many cameras.  The VVR1216 records up to 16 cameras, all at full frame and high resolution.
    • High Quality evidence
Masked and hooded raiders present a considerable evidential challenge.  The VVR1200 series records in real time at DVD-quality.  This provides the best possible chance to capture that split second opportunity to identify hair colour, a tattoo or a brand of shoes.

    • Backup Recording
The VVR1000 can record in parallel and thus provide backup evidence.  This is particularly useful in mitigating the challenge of “an inside job”.
