  • remote surveillance

Vision Systems Technology DVRs are used in a variety of remote surveillance operations that require intelligent, high performance video recordings in a physically demanding environment.

It can record DVD evidential quality images for months, and you can access it remotely over mobile data networks to view live and recorded images, as well as controlling PTZ cameras.

It is widely used by police especially for Serious & Organised Crime stakeouts, in railways to monitor level crossings and depots, and by public utilities to protect remote facilities such as electrical substations.

    SEE SPECIAL PROJECTS

    Key Features:

    NEW!  Encrypted Recording

For users with highly sensitive video images, Matrix now offers the option of encryption of all video.  This means that the recordings will only play on replay PCs where the Vision Systems Technology replay software is installed, and where there is a valid encryption key.

Vision Systems Technology encryption is to 256 bit AES standards – until recently the standard used by national security agencies.

    NEW!  Back up recording

The VVR1200 can record in parallel onto a separate drive.  This provides a secondary source of backup evidence in the event that the primary recording is stolen or damaged.

This backup drive could be on a small solid state drive unavailable / unknown to unauthorised users.

NEW!  Automatic alarms by email or SMS

When an incident is detected, the VVR1200 can be programmed to transmit alarms in a variety of formats including:

    • SMS to predefined numbers
    • Emails
    • Start transmitting live images from cameras predefined according to alarm type
    • Prepare for transmission a pre-event recording clip (eg 30 secs prior to even

    DVD Image Quality

    • Our world leading image compression technology delivers crystal clear images
    • If you record a DVD onto our recorder, the recording will be indistinguishable from the original
    • A specialist adaption of market leading H-264 (MPEG4 v.10) technology

Real Time Recording on every channel

    • High frame rate is crucial in capturing every split second of evidence eg the glimpse of a hooded face
    • Real time recording on every channel
    • 25fps PAL or 30 fps NTSC.

    Unlimited image storage

    • Record for months without having to change the harddrive
    • 1500 GB Harddrive solutions are standard.
    • We also supply Network Area Storage (NAS) devices with theoretically unlimited capacity, although in practice 4 TB ie 4000GB suffices for most applications.

    Independent configuration of every channel

    • Precision setup up to optimise any bandwidth or storage constraint.
    • Competitors typically impose a single global setting.
    • Image resolution from QCIF (176 x 144) to 4CIF (704 x 576)
    • Bitrates from 16kbs to 4mbs

RAID arrays for mission critical resilience

Some covert operations may not afford even the small possibility of hard drive failure.

Our NAS data storage option can be configured to provide harddrive redundancy so that images are simultaneously copied onto a second disk.

    Dual Stream Recording

    • Simultaneously record the same image in both high resolution and low resolution
    • Retain the high resolution for evidence
    • Use the low resolution to view live and recorded images over narrowband GPRS networks

Remote access incl Live Images over GPRS, 3G networks

    • View live images over any IP connection including mobile phone data networks and fixed broadband (eg ADSL).
    • Stream live images whilst maintaining high quality recording.
    • Control PTZ cameras.
    • Total remote DVR system access and configuration.

Flexible power supply and low consumption

    • External covert operations often have difficult power constraints.  Vision Systems Technology DVR can operate with either:
      • 12 / 24 V DC battery power, or
      • 110 / 240 V AC mains power
    • The DVR provides 5V and 12 V terminals to power peripherals eg cameras, modems
    • Low power consumption eg 12W to conserve battery power

Alarms incl PIR, Electrical contacts, Motion Detection

    • A range of incident alarms to support surveillance operations
    • Optional alarm card for electrical contacts (eg doors)
    • Integration capability with third party alarm systems eg PIR devices
    • Sophisticated motion detection software functionality
    • Real time alerts via network, SMS or email
    • Incidents logged in searchable data base and associated with images
